Safe Home Inspections during the Coronavirus times

Here's how HomeInspeKtor is maintaining high safety standards in the times of Coronavirus.

Coronavirus (COVID-19) is everywhere. As of March 19, 2020, the number of infected cases worldwide is greater than 200,000 and the number of deaths is close to 9,000. These are unprecedented and troubled times indeed. We need drastic measures to make sure that all of us come out of this unscathed.

HomeInspeKtor, as the trendsetter and market leader in home inspections in India, has the responsibility to set high standards for the Indian home inspection industry – on how to respond to situations such as these.

The health and safety of our customers and employees is our #1 priority. Here’s what we are doing and we nudge our competitors to blindly follow as always.

  • Our home inspectors are following all social distancing norms – interacting with onsite customers at a safe distance .
  • We also offer the option for customers to not be present during the inspection, in agreement with the Builder. In such cases, we are more than happy to provide a video walkthrough of the house, highlighting the issues so that the customer gets a feel of the inspection and a summary, virtually.
  • Our home inspectors are wearing masks at all times, while traveling to and from the inspections and more importantly during the inspections.  They also carry spare masks with them, to be offered to the customer or any representative of the builder, if needed.
  • All home inspection tools are being used only with gloves donned. So are any surfaces that are touched during the inspection.
  • Hand sanitizers are liberally used during the home inspection process.
  • Being a company that has always leveraged technology, our payment process and report exchange has always and continues to be 100% online only. We strongly discourage the use of paper (a way for the germs to spread) whether it be currency notes or printed out reports.
  • Our home inspectors are encouraged to take time off, if they need a break or if they start seeing any of the associated symptoms.
  • As a company, we’ve operated a virtual office at all times. Our non-inspector staff predominantly work from home and meet up in business centres only when the situation needs us to. Therefore, in the current scenario where other companies are being introduced to WFH, we are already at peak productivity.

There you see, we’ve got all our bases covered. If you are considering a home inspection in these troubled times, selecting HomeInspeKtor will be the safest option for you.
